I've decided that, in addition to trying to look like super models, growing out our fingernails is one of the weirdest things females to to look, well, feminine. I used to chew off my fingernails, and did so pretty much up until October of last year, and now that they've started to grow up, they've become obnoxious. Sure, they look pretty, and I can pull the sticky price tags off of things like there's no tomorrow, but typing's a bitch and I keep scratching Steve on accident. >_> He is not amused.

Answer, apparently: Throw more drugs at it!! That should stop it, right?

We tell our kids not to take drugs-unless-they're-sanctioned-by-some-guy-who-went-to-school-and-obviously-knows-what's-right. Vaccines I can abide by, though, in theory, they're kind of wonky. At least with a flu vaccine, your body can go, "Oh hai, wuts that? OMGGTFO" on it's own. With drug treatment, I feel like that's more akin to your mother-in-law moving in to take care of the kids - even once they're gone, she still hangs around.

I hate End of the World dreams. And I sometimes get the feeling that, the more I have these dreams, the more likely it is to happen in my lifetime.

I wish some of my friends up here were more pragmatic when it came to guys...

One pretty much begged her way back into a failed relationship, to have it fail again.

One was positive that her fiancee was her soul mate, to the point that she didn't listen to her friends when we told her he was dragging her down. Then they broke up and now she's with another guy, who she swears is her soul mate after only 4 months of being together (and it's a long distance relationship).

I suppose I don't have much ground to stand on, considering that part of the reason I moved back to Michigan from Iowa was to be with Steve, but at the same time, we've both sacrificed things for each other over the course of our relationship. There's give and take.

~le sigh~ When you're friends have been with you through so much, to have them look you in the face and tell you that you, "just don't know what you're talking about. (You) don't understand anything about my relationship" is incredibly hard.
